How old was adam when God created him?
Have you ever wondered “how old was Adam when God created him?” This is a question that many people have. Although the Bible doesn’t explicitly answer this we can make some assumptions based on information we have.
How old was Adam when God created him? It is safe to assume that Adam age was considered within 20 to 130 years when he was formed from the dust of the earth.
Until we actually meet the father in Heaven we won’t have answers to all of the questions we have. Based on the age at which Adam was when God created him is purely speculation.
Man was created in the image of God. Adam and Eve were told to be fruitful and multiply. Although, there is no mention of Adam growing to be a child bearing age. It’s safe to assume that he didn’t grow from a pubescent age.
Even if you look at the animals, God didn’t make them too young where they wouldn’t reproduce. All of the creatures were instructed to,
…“Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
Genesis 1:22
And to the humans,
Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.
Genesis 1:28
This leads us to believe when God created all of the creatures all of them were at a reproductive or grown age. In addition, on the same day God created the animals he told them to multiply. Unless the animals grew from infant to adult in less than a day we can assume that he created them at the optimal grown age.
The birds in the sky show that at least the birds were old enough to soar in the sky. It’s well known that it takes a while for birds to grow to an age where they are able to fly.

Adam would have been in his prime because God tasked him with taking care of the garden. He wouldn’t have been too young because he wouldn’t have had the optimal strength to perform his duties.
We also know that Adam and Eve had their son Seth when Adam was 130 years old. Because Adam and Eve only had children after they were evicted from the garden we can further speculate that Adam’s age, while he was in the garden, was between 20 and 130 years of age.

Jesus Christ is called the second Adam. He was sent to complete the job the Adam failed to accomplish. Jesus was crucified when he was 33 years of age. It seems as though Jesus picked up where Adam left off. If that case it may be safe to assume that Adam might’ve been no more than 35 years of age when he was created from the dust of the earth.
While this is all interesting information to look over just bear in mind that some of this is highly speculative. Until we reach heaven we will never know for sure. But at that point when we are face to face with the glory of God will it even matter?
