Can God get you out of trouble?

Have you ever wondered if can God get you out of trouble? We’ve all made mistakes. That’s just being human. Although, sometimes we don’t always think about the consequences of our actions.

Can God get you out of trouble?

If you’re being tempted

Are you being tempted to do something wrong? God says he will always provide a means of escape.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

You don’t have to give into temptation. There is always a way out. From reading your Bible to getting as far away from the tempting thing or action you can escape and overcome the temptation with the help of the Holy Spirit.

God knows how much we can bear. There are no temptations that are new to mankind. We all get tempted one of three ways. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.

These three sins were all overcome in the wilderness by Jesus. When you become a part of God’s family by believing that Jesus is the son of God and that he died for your sins and rose again you too can have the power to overcome temptation. This power is through a helper that God sent named the Holy Spirit.

Have you already messed up?

We all mess up from time to time. God knew that we would never be perfect. That’s why he sent his Son to be the payment for our sins. The past and future sins of believers are all covered under the blood of Jesus Christ.

Although, even though the sins are washed clean by the blood and God promises to remember them no more, there are still consequences for our sin. The consequences of sin are something that we bring on ourselves.

While God forgives those who trust in Jesus and repent of their sins there are still negative consequences for our sins. Like adultery. God can forgive the sins that we commit but consequences like divorce or negatively affected children can be the result of our choices.

God always wants the best for his creation.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

Consequences can be negative or positive. When we choose to live according to the Bible, while our life won’t turn out perfect, it will be better than if we choose to live according to our sinful desires. This is different than living in sin. If you choose to live in sin you have to ask the question of whether or not you’re really saved.

Can God get you out of trouble?

If you are trapped somewhere or live in circumstances you don’t want God can rescue you. While this doesn’t mean that he’ll work on your schedule or make things turn out the way you want them to God wants the best for you.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

Continue to pray and seek him. It might not seem like the easiest thing to do when you’re in trouble. It might seem better to just give up. Just remember the fact that you are still alive means there is a purpose for your life.

You are still important to God. He is willing to use you if you follow him.

In closing

There are consequences for our sin. Our own choices can determine if we get ourselves into trouble or not. While God can still forgive us with his endless love for every action there is a reaction.
